Something was going unusual within last few months for public URL submission to google webmaster. Indexing was not working like it used to do before, I was aware something was happening and here Google has finally announced that they are stopping off the public method of submitting URLs to its search index on Wednesday. The “add your url” page, which is still listed in this help document, now redirects to the Google Search Console login page.
Here is what Google Webmasters said,”We’ve had to drop the public submission feature.” The company did not say why it was necessary to drop it. Maybe it has to do with spam issues or abuse. Google added, “… but we continue to welcome your submissions using the usual tool in Search Console and through sitemaps directly.”
Google now only accept URL submission either by submitting sitemaps or using new URL inspection tool. Submitting URL directly through Google search console is now closed.
RIP to old google search console Indexing method by submitting URL. Here is what it used to be before. I just used this URL submission service before going to bed and it’s gone when I wake up.
